Fun Monday- I Made It Myself

***If you are looking for Book Binge, just scroll down!***

Hooray for Fun Monday!  Oh how I’ve missed you!  Thankfully Robin keeps track of everything so I knew just where to find you!

Karisma is this week’s hostess.  Her challenge is:

I think the title pretty much says it all, but for those of you who may still be wondering, I would like to see or hear about things you have made with your own two hands (or feet, Im not fussy!) We all have different talents and abilities, maybe you like to sew or knit, chisel or sculpt, draw or paint? Whatever your talent is, please share it with us this week.

Da Rules…..

Well there are not any really! But you know, we all know that you made your kids so lets NOT choose them this time. (After all you did not make them with your hands or feet did you?)

And for those of you who are freaking out because you make “everything” with your hands, how about you just choose a few of your favourites!)

Those of you who are freaking out because “You never make things with your hands”. Get off your lazy butt and make something! You have four days… get to it! (You could always bake a cake!) The possibilities are endless!

Something I’ve made?  But not my kids?  Crap the best things I’ve made are my kids!  Well, there was that kick ass caramel cheesecake but it didn’t last long enough for a picture.

I’ve got it!

Behold…The Mess I Made With My Own Two Hands!

Some of you may remember this mess from my list of New Year’s resolutions (from, uh, last year).  I resolved to clean out what is supposed to become a half bath.  Instead I have crapped it up even more.  This is an old picture and doesn’t even show half of it.  I’m too busy making an ass imprint in my sofa to take another picture.

Thanks for coming by, go check out the much more creative people!

Happy Anniversary Fun Monday!!

Vicki, the original Fun Monday hostess, is hosting the Anniversary Edition!

Here’s what Vicki says:

I can’t believe it! We are coming up on the 1st Anniversary of the very first Fun Monday! Chris asked me if I would host the Anniversary Fun Monday and I said, “Sure! That thing is still going on?”

Since agreeing to host I have been racking my brain to think of something to post about. I’m not sure what has been posted about before because I lost track of Fun Monday a few months back.

Just this instant I’m typing I decided what I want us to post on.

It all started with “Your View”. I wanted to see what you see when you look out your front door. (I’ll link back to that post later.) So for this Anniversary Fun Monday lets do it again!

Here’s the assignment. For those of you who did NOT post a picture of your view from your front door, then your assignment is to post a view from your front door. To do this you stand in your doorway looking outside and take a picture. That simple. We (I) want to see what you see when you look out your front door.

For those of you who DID post your view, link back to that post you posted a year ago, and then re-list your very first post ever. We want to see how far you’ve come baby! Also, if you can, post the comments you received on that post.

My first Fun Monday post can be seen (sort of) here.  I have no idea where the picture went- I’ll try to update that tomorrow.

My very first post is here

For my pal who emailed me and asked me to post again- I will post something more than Fun Monday soon, I promise.  Miss you too.

Fun Monday- Mother May I?

Hootin Annie has a great Fun Monday challenge.

Since I am an idiot- I didn’t do it.  No good excuse.  Just idiocy.

Go check out people who actually did the assignment.

Fun Monday- Holiday Traditions

The Humble Housewife is this week’s hostess.

 Her challenge is:

I want to hear about or see a holiday tradition, recipe or event. It can be any holiday you like or that is special to your family. With Thanksgiving and the Winter holidays coming up, those would be especially apt, but anything that is special for your family is fine. If you have pictures – it’s a bonus! Whether it’s your Mom’s famous stuffing recipe, going caroling on Christmas Eve, Diwali dances, or even the inevitability of Great Aunt Polly having one too many brandies and knocking over the Christmas tree – I want to hear about it!!!

I am swamped at work  so I’ll make this a quick one.

I am the Christmas Cookie Queen.  Hey cookies and ice cream go nicely together.  I host a cookie exchange the first Saturday of December.   I had planned to post a bunch of my cookie recipes as part of NaBloPoMo.

My mother’s sausage stuffing is the best.  I can’t wait to eat a metric ton of the stuff this year.  What?  I’m eating for two.

I put up our Christmas tree the weekend before Christmas and it comes down the weekend after.  My living room is way too small to have that thing up for too long.

Go check out other people’s holiday traditions.

Fun Monday- Clothing Art

Willowtree is this week’s host.

His challenge:

This week’s Fun Monday is being hosted by WT, he wants to see some clothing art. That’s tee shirts, baseball caps, hoodies, sports uniforms or any bit of clothing that you or your kids own that has interesting, funny or artistic graphics.

Getting it in just in time.  CPA Mom sent me this t-shirt a while ago and I love it.

Fun Monday- How I Met Your Father

Janet is this week’s hostess.  Her challenge:

Describe your meeting with your spouse/significant other. I especially want to hear “meet cute” stories. And it doesn’t have to be your actual current sig/other. Perhaps the “meet cute” story is a former boy/girlfriend… or even a best friend. Illustrate with photos, of course.

No big cute story here- we met in church.  He shook my hand and said something like, “Boy your hands are cold.”

He’s been warming them ever since.

Fun Monday- The Recipe

Lisa is hosting Fun Monday today.  It’s her first time and it’s a good one.

Her challenge:

I want to see your favorite recipe, be it either because your grandmother wrote it, it’s the easiest thing you can slap together that everyone likes, it makes you feel healthy, it’s cheap, etc. You don’t have to make it (although you could if you want) but let us see the index card, cookbook, printed paper from the web, and why it’s a favorite in your house. If you have a lot, just pick one, I know I’ll have to!

I love to bake and have many great recipes but due to a crap weekend (emergency room visit on Saturday- don’t worry everything is ok) I am once again putting my own spin on Fun Monday.

If you are easily grossed out- stop reading.

Sunday nights the Big Guy does the routine: bath, story, bed, etc.  Ebaby came into my room to kiss me goodnight and have a little snuggle.  The Big Guy follows her in and asks, “Did you tell mommy what you did?”

“Tell her.”

“I pooped in the tub.”

Gross but it happens.

“Tell Mommy what else you did.”

“I ate it.”

Wha?  Huh?  No WAY!

“Uh, you ate it?”

“I wanted to see what it tasted like.”

“Oh.  What did it taste like?”

She whispers in my ear, “It tasted like the most nastiest, grossest, disgustingest, slimiest booger ever!”

You know what this means?

She eats her damn boogers too.
